    Cx diesel

+1 to that - pop the radiator off and see what the fan is doing. Hopefully it hasn't come off and eaten up the back of the rad.

    gearshift spring

I have a handful here that I don't need - postage from Oz, but it's probably not too bad for something so light.

    TI to CDI?

    Are both manual tensioner?

    TI to CDI?

Flywheel would also need to be swapped as the TI one lacks the magnets for the pickups.

The part number is on this page, listed as being for the 650s: https://motofaction.org/motorcycles/honda-cx-gl/triple-quadruple-bypass-parts-list-cx500-gl500-cx650-gl650/ Not strictly correct there re it being for the 650 - it was first used on a 500 based on the part number and it's found on a lot of the later 500s anecdotally around here.

Sometimes that O-ring can be a bear to seat properly... some days I get them right first time, other times it's 2 or 3 goes... others still I get unlucky and pinch the O-ring on installation. There's a -415- part number that's more of a seal than an O-ring that works nicely there that is a bit of an easier fit, imho.

  12. Hi guys. This might interest anyone with a CDI bike... we've now got an online test which takes your stator resistances and spits out a diagnosis, in an effort to make troubleshooting stator problems easier: http://www.cx500info.com/stator-test/ The acceptable resistance ranges change depending on your engine's serial number, and this program takes that into account. Any questions, feedback or suggestions are most welcome.

Some of those are quite interesting - I never thought to wonder where "goodbye" came from but now I know!
