  1. We took our CX500z out for the last time this year as yet again another beautiful weekend of Glorious weather. Also ive sorn both the CX and the CBX from the end of this month and will be putting both of them in to winter mode this coming week. We had a great run out today from Ashford to Rye then met up with lots of other bikers at rye harbour including another couple on a black Cx500 A who are in their 70’s and have got them to join the club. So welcome Al and wife. We road home on the coast road from Rye to camber sands and then Dungeness and finally home. There were lots of bikes out today taking advantage of another fine weeken

What to do to take bike off the road for 6 months

Hello chilli Phil, I'm sure this thread will gain momentum with many opinions, and it's a good topic . Personally I keep my petrol tank filled to the brim ,this stops any moisture getting in to the tank. Secondly I keep my battery on and run the engine up at least once a month as mechanical stuff doesn't like standing idle. I spray a light coat of WD40 over my frame as my bikes are kept in a cold concrete lock-up.ive known one or two members who have kept their bikes in an integral Garage and have kept a small tubular low wattage heater under the bike to keep the condensation away. hope this helps and look forward to seeing you in the new year at the National Rally
  13. Nice one Marty it sure has been a great day to ride yer bike.
