cx650 custom

I cant seem to get on with the 650c seating/riding position - it was always an issue for me (sore tail bone/aching back) even before I hurt my back last June and now I'm thinking unless I radically alter the seating position it'll be even worse now post surgery. I like the power of the 650 so thinking of maybe putting it into the 500 euro project frame ????

Either that or I flog the 650c and all related bits and pieces. This would be;

1983 650c - lovely shade of pink.

Complete engine overhaul incl main bearing and shell bearing and rings, cam chain, oil pump chain etc by Mike Smith about 5+ years ago (5000+ miles maybe).

Since then I replaced the Stator and Mech seal (looked ok when Mr Smith did engine work - Murphy's Law came into effect later !!)

Standard Rear 15" wheel replaced by 16" GL wheel - better MPG ?? lower cruising revs !

New rear tyre 2017, front tyre good too.

Got new Hagon rear shocks before I bought it

Front fork seals done last year

New clutch plates + heavy duty springs installed.

LED charging mini light fitted flush in dash

LED indicator warning light on top lip of windscreen

LED neutral indicator bulb fitted.

Manual fan override switch fitted

Vacuum tap replaced with standard fuel tap.

Sissy bar with backrest fitted - also have standard low chrome rear bar.

Rear side panniers fitted.

Replacement loom fitted about 3 years ago

New battery last year (2017)

GPS holder mounted.

I also have quite a number of spares;

spare fuel tank - has small weep, needs lining/repair.

Set of complete front forks

Complete rear swingarm + drive hub

original good condition H box

original chrome side pieces

original down pipes

original rear silencers

fuse box

batter holder etc

water bottle

switches / throttle

spare carbs

etc etc

wont go cheap if I am selling - all the engine work has been done and done well - colour may not be to everyone's taste but that is an easy thing to change - make an offer if you want !!
