Cabot Trail 2011

Here are some pics of my tour of the "Cabot Trail" in Nova Scotia accompanied by my good friends John + Marie, riding a SPYDER.

Day 1....Ottawa to Riviere du Loup Quebec..................696kms

Myself and a"cold one"..... :wink:

Day 2.....Riviere du Loup Quebec to Shediac New Brunswick...........597kms

Yup, the "worlds largest" lobster...... :lol:

Day 3....Shediac New Brunswick to Baddeck Nova Scotia (visit to Prince Edward Island via Confederation bridge).....566kms
The daunting Confederation bridge,connecting PEI to the mainland,which is well known by bikers and semi's for it's high "cross winds" !!!!!

My good friends from Ottawa who retired and now own a campsite on PEI

Alexander Graham Bell spent most of his time at Baddeck, i was in awe at his inventions and achievments while visiting the museum :shock:

Day 4....Baddeck Nova Scotia to Margaree Harbour Nova Scotia (Cabot Trail

)............240kms
This is what it's all about :wink:

GODS country to say the least !!!!

Day 5............. Margaree Harbour Nova Scotia to New Glasgow Nova Scotia (via Louisbourg fort)....545kms

Fort rebuilt to identical specs of the original

Day 6........ New Glasgow Nova Scotia to Halifax Nova Scotia................156kms
A must to visit the original brewery museum while in Halifax :wink:

We met up with Chris's brother and friends while we were there

Amazing boats in the harbour :lol:

And amazing sunsets :roll:

Day 7....... Halifax Nova Scotia to Saint John New Brunswick (via Digby ferry)............310kms
Bikes loaded 1st onto the Digby ferry.....3hr crossing time

I always smirk at this one, the GPS while waiting for the ferry to depart..

Day 8 ... Saint John New Brunswick to Lac Megantic Quebec (via Main USA)..............809kms

Day 9.... Lac Megantic Quebec to Ottawa Ontario.............211kms.

Had to re-look at pic 2 - good spot Del but I am wondering what made you think of that....
