Finally got out on the triple today, despite the showers (see how keen I am). Lots of work to do, but man, the glorious noise.

Does 70 at 4500 rpm, which is relaxing.

Does not do corners at present. All the XS triples I have ridden have either been dogs like mine, or show how good a CX really is. While the CX is a nimble back-lane scratcher (in comparison to), the triple needs a real heave on the bars. Also, you can feel the shaft drive intrude a little on the triple.

Nice to not have to worry about coolant, but the downside is potential overheating. You can certainly smell the heat off this. The carbs make ours seems quite simple to work with; there's no space here! Glad I don't have to fight with a bank of four.

However, no need to change down with this beast. Just a deeper note on the throttle, and its a waft to whatever velocity Sir requires.

Just in time for winter.
