Devon, Back to basics rally September.

Hi all, We have been busy sorting out this great venue for a late season rally at Exmouth in E Devon. Dates are Fri 7th-Sat 8th-Sunday 9th September. As per the heading it will be a basic campfire rally with bar b Q or alfresco style main meals, breakfasts will be sorted later. We have a large firebasket and a couple of Gazebo's too.Price per person for Camping for two nights will be £10 + of course whatever we decide to do food wise. It really is a lovely little campsite with a closed area for our fire and Barbie. A ride out in the lovely E Devon area is planned for Saturday weather permitting.
Here is a slideshow of the one we did a couple of years ago

This is NOT a registered CX-GL rally and is open to any of our members and your friends that you are willing to vouch for. This is also on our local VJMC site.
There are a couple of Electric hook ups available so if your coming and want one holler.
More soon Sue-Bob

Looking forward to this one.

A great way to wind down and finish the rally season. A very nice National Trust site, with good facilities. Fish and chips quite local, and a pub within staggering distance.

Spaces are limited, so book early!!

Hi Bob.
When i come to the rally this June i want to come along the A39 as i did last year but i want to avoid
the dreaded Porlock Hill and of course if i can Lynmouth as well, because after the debarcle of last year
i want to avoid as many large hills as possible .Do you know of the back road diversions that will bypass these
locations .I have looked on the OS map of the places but can't seem to figure out a route .Have you been on any
roads that will allow me to miss them??.
Answers on a post card please .
Mike .

Hi again,Tony (diggerdad) and myself had a natter today about details of this rally.Plans are in hand for two large bar b Q's plus a big firebox. We will have of course the usual Tea/Coffee tent +One,Possibly two Gazebo's in the unlikely event of rain!!!..As for food over the weekend, we will put on a mild Chilli and Rice on Friday evening, also there is a Fish & Chip shop locally for those who prefer it. Pricing has not been finalied yet but it looks likely to be £12 per person for Camping (Fri/Sat)Tea/Coffee, Plates, Sauces, Cooking Oils etc and Bar B Q coals and wood for the fires. It will work on a bring what you want to eat and we will help prepare it. A Beer and food car run will be available all weekend (Pub 600 metres away).
The Saturday rideout is being organised by locals ie Tony,Pete,Peter S etc, who know the area better than us.Come and make this a weekend to remember.
