Swinging arm pivot nut

Postby bones » Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:56 pm

When dismantling my Eurosport frame, I was surprised to find that there didn't seem to be a nut to retain the pivot bolt! Now that I have the stuff back from the powder coaters I'd like to start reassembling, so this bit a bit crucial. Beer tokens etc, waiting :D

The PO probably either wrecked it getting it out or didn't do it up as you need a special tool.

No response so far, so I'm wondering whether anyone has one I could borrow so I could get it measured up and get a replacement made up.

Euro one is different unfortunately. It is common to all the 3-tube frames but is also discontinued.

I am wondering if it would be easy to machine them?
Dave.

Thanks, Loz, but as Dave says, they're not the same.

Hi Trev

According to Partsfinder, it's the same part number, so, yes please. I'll get it measured up and get a quote for getting one made up. I'll PM you my details.

Thanks for your help.

The internal thread is about 20mm and very fine.
