    Trev's bikes.

Hi guys and gals I am happy to reveal that Trev's beautiful bikes will shortly be off with their new owners. SLY is crossing the water for a new home in Jersey with Owen Morris, and KUR will be off to deepest, darkest Cambridgeshire with Martin McDonald! I couldn't be happier that they are going to two good guys who know the history, and of course knew the big guy himself. Wishing them both many years of happy, safe riding. Rose xx

  8. "Dear All CXers, After a very long association with the CX500 dating back to 1981, I have now sold 'Valiant' and the large stash of spare parts. This ends my association with the CX, which over the years has given me a huge amount of pleasure and during which I've ridden the bike all over the UK and Europe (see http://www.motorcycletouring.webhop.org" target="_blank). My time with the CX has been enhanced by the marvellous club spirit amongst fellow owners, rider and enthusiasts. I remember well from the earliest days at the first Rally at the Hampshire Bowmen in 2002, when spare parts changed hands for postage and comradeship reigned supreme. Over many MCC rallies and events since then the CX has been an integral part of my life and it was no small decision to sell up. I still have the 650 Deauville and to complement it have just bought a new BMW F800GT, this being the only bike in its class which does not have a chain drive. Well do I remember many instances of balancing carbs - my 'party trick' at MCC Rallies, and even in-the-field helicoiling! I would like to thank CXers for their friendship over the years and retain many fine memories of my association with this model of motorcycle and the people who revere it. There are no plans to remove the CX Web Resource (http://www.cx500.webhop.org" target="_blank) but it is not being maintained. Best regards to all, Rob Davis Telford, Shropshire."
