    New era

I am not able to delete previous PMs although my PM box tells me that there are too many PMs so that I should delete some if I wish to send any more.... I selected all messages to delete as a form of desperation, chose delete, I refreshed the site.. my PMs are still inbox, cant send any more PMs, can't receive because I get INBOX FULL notification.... something is wrong... this new site is overcomplicated...
  2. I found the reason why it wasnt going..... I hope so.... Sad is the fact that I was there, I even ordered the new parts but the seller happened to have the wrong description of the item and I got the same stuff that was on the bike..... I was very unfortunate too that the mess-causing-piece was not from the puzzle from the very beginning of my ownership I learnt something by coincidence anyway, I was shown a few topics related to problems with cheap HIFLO air filters, that they let dust particles in.... naturally I have the hiflo on my bike so thought this year it would be time to go for the MIW or EMGO and was just checking emgo numbers when I suddenly saw that the eu/C/std. use the same kind of filter, whereas the 650 uses the long one. My bike took the long one from the beginning but I thought it was natural for the prolink frame air boxes so I didn't go any further. However, I was looking in there while on my way to solve the problem, the bike felt like no fuel and even messed with jetting with little success (I gave her 78/120 once but perhaps I should have gone with like 82/115?? - it doesnt matter now). I even boght another airbox described as "for the GL500" which arrived but was exactly the same with the difference that mine was brutally deprived of the baffle-mesh plate at the carb intake ports so I exchanged it - no difference here... And while on the HIFLO research and seeing the MIW/EMGO filter allocations I thought.. I am going for another box again..... it arrived, was cheap but again incomplete - it doesnt matter for the price was worth just to see there is indeed any difference: http://hondacx500.cba.pl/galeria/albums/userpics/10051/IMG_20180220_094219.jpg" target="_blank this time I wasn't doing it alone: http://hondacx500.cba.pl/galeria/albums/userpics/10051/IMG_20180220_094031.jpg" target="_blank yeah... it is the lenght of the filtrer - this I new, the intake rubber tube which for the 650 lets more air in making your mixture leaner and more.... the sleeve part of the tube that you mount the air filter on is longer on the 500 so it means that it still limits the working surface of the filter.... Let's hope I will finally sort it out here, I was really unfortunate that the first time I bought the "GL500 box", they guys sent me the 650 one again... he can't have known..... and don't use HIFLO... they are really bad, ruined my friend's DR engine... started to eat oil... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/516x387q90/922/TPaC6B.jpg" target="_blank http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cxTmfem9tBU/VFp9OmyhkiI/AAAAAAAAGEw/TmXSPyHCELw/w628-h471-no/Luftfilter.jpg" target="_blank
  3. you saying the engine for the pins? no problem...
  4. again..... I can exchange the cover for the services I offer, can exchange for the prolink pins/ gaskets or perhaps we could realise some order... just an idea, I am sure some of you guys must have such a cover in their junk boxes - I've seen many around on the forum from people who were selling out...

    My prolink battles

When I look at mechanical characteristics of sintered bearings vs normal zn/pb/fe bronzes they look very poor.... I think it is just better to buy a proper bronze shaft and make the bearings with grease pockets...

    My prolink battles

Now.... my findings are.... my local providers offer (this is an offer for steel bushing prolinks) the sintered steel bush option will be around 150PLN http://www.bimex.info/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/sintel.jpg The bronze graphite option will be around 250PLN - very robust bushings. http://www.bimex.info/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/ggg.jpg

    Euro Prolink Wear

oops I haven't looked here.... don't worry, they only need some tlc

    My prolink battles

They will be available that's for sure, tomorrow I will learn the options / vs prizes, but your bushes might not be the same, there are many kinds - copper and plastic on euro... I don't have anything to work on apart from the set that you see - all steel... As for the sintered bushings that could be used, they are a nice option (I am not sure the oem are indeed sintered - probably not), the manufacturer recommends to impregnate them with special type of parafine oil and use no grease.... now I guess... if there are going to be orders I can order some of the oil too but... I still have another nice idea how to impregnate them in my way.. I will be showing... PS. Brendan, if you are going to have it done by me, don't mess with pressing the old bushes out, I will do it for you.... you only need to send the parts... better even bushes be in there, I will cope..

    My prolink battles

Thanks that you recommend, if you need any more Lawrie, let me know, I am greatly indebted to you... anyway I still found some room for improvement so they are even a bit better now..

    My prolink battles

As I talked to Marty before, I am ready to produce all sorts of pins for the prolink, basically there are two types, the gl500 and the rest. The bushings are still being "researched" Meanwhile I managed to grab a set of worn GL500 arms - iron/steel bushings, and for this type I will soon offer a full repair with "additional durability option" depending on which bushing you will choose. I hope to be able to offer ones that will not require any greasing (it is all price depending), I will be showing step by step, I hope that some people will get encouraged to buy. Firstly, a set of extracted steel bushings: http://hondacx500.cba.pl/galeria/albums/userpics/10002/IMG_20180217_182124.jpg They are really hard to press out, so people who are willing to buy the bushings in the future sets must be aware that exchanging them will not be easy (I can provide a press tool that will help though)... they are measured now and I will be making phonecalls to companies tomorrow. Still later next week, I am gonna have another links this time from the CX650... Just to remind you my pins were advertised here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=26314 As I cannot edit my ads, pm me for prices and details..
