Bob "BikerBob" has passed away

Recommended Posts

I am the bearer of the sad news that gramps (Bob) passed away last night in Torbay hospital after suffering with cancer.

Gramps very much loved his CX and more importantly the friends and frolics over the years he has had with all of us who met up to share this - looking forward every year to several rallies where we could all meet up and talk shop and other things. When his health was deteriorating he was so happy that he mustered the strength to get out for one last ride around north devon.

His funeral will be held at the Torbay Cremetorium on Tuesday 22nd of December at 2.45 pm you are all welcome (maybe we could might even get a few CX's there!). We will ask anyone thinking of flowers instead to make a donation to the RSPA if that is their wish.

Thankyou from all the family

Sad news, I'm so very sorry. I never met Bob, but he was well known and loved by the members of this club. My best wishes go to all who knew and loved him.

A real gent and a great member of the club - its a great regret of mine that I never made it to one of his Devon Rallies.

Sincere condolences to Sue and the family at what must be a great loss.

RIP Bob there are not many of your kind left. Sue my sympathy's go to you and your family. There was not a week that would go by but I would receive an email from Bob from his great sense of humour. I am glad to have had the pleasure of meeting Bob and some weeks back when he told me of the extant of his illness my heart sunk for there was not a more jollier and helpful man right up till the end. May God bless you Bob and may you ride with the angels.

Fran

If anyone has any stories, anecdotes or pictures of Bob then maybe they could share them here too, this is a good time to celebrate his life as well as mourn his loss.

Then maybe we could gather them all together and present it to Sue in the future.

Thanks.

Eric.

Another death at Christmastime. Bob's passing adds to a couple more to that I have been told about. It really tests my faith. Maybe it's the lack of it, that hits those of us who are left hardest. If the Club is having a whip round for his wife; count me in.

Dave.

I am really shocked and saddened to read this unjust news. Bob was a pillar of the cx/gl club and represented everything good about it. Generous, humorous, good company and gave his all for the club and its members.

God love you mate along with Gavin, Hayley, Sue & Family.
