Radiator repair

Recommended Posts

I recently had a 650 radiator re-cored and was quite pleased with the service and the price. For a full re-con with a new core it came to £86.40 including vat,( no postage as it was quite local to me) which given the amount of labour involved to do this job, I thought it to be very reasonable.

86.40, that's not bad at all.

Next time I pass the bloke in Lowford I'll make enquiries as to how much he charges, I would imagine a 650 rad would be cheaper than a 500 rad (about the only time a 650 part is cheaper than a 500 one!)

Good price Trev

I paid exactly the same price for my 500 one last year.

Did you get yours done up here in Scotland? If so please can you let me have the details.

Lawrie

When you need it done I will make a point of finding out his name and address.

The next time I am passing it in Gorgie road, Edinburgh, I will get his details and send them on.

I can recommend County Radiators in Basildon. They re-con'd and re-cored my 500A radiator which was leaking badly last week. Seems to be a good job, nicely finished and powder coated, it was ready on time and there are no leaks so far. Unfortunately I paid a lot more than £87, but they are local and I was in a hurry to get it fixed.

Hi, Well done lads, i must admit this problem (hopefully not though) had crossed my mind, nice to know they are doo-able for a half sensible price. Bob

That’s good to know, I have one that needs repair & my lad is working out Telford way so that should work out nicely, thanks.
